I offer a complete bespoke blacksmithing service from design through to completion. And I will work closely with you in this process to create the item that you cant, that also suits your budget.

I generally work with mild steel, but also work with stainless steel and copper to create traditional and artistic ironwork by hammer and hand, using traditional blacksmithing techniques. 

With interior metalwork that I make there is a selection of finishes that are at my disposal to use to protect work of this nature including spray paints, clear lacquer, beeswax, Renaissance wax and Linseed oil to name a few.

All external ironwork that I produce requires a more durable finish to protect against the elements that the South West weather has to offer. For this eventuality I advise that all ironwork that I make is hot dip galvanised. This offers extra protection against the UK weather and will keep the finished piece rust free for years to come.  Alternatively, if you’d like your ironwork to have a more colourful appearance I  can arrange for your ironwork to be painted a colour of your choosing before installation.
